Product description Specification

Designed on comission for the Countdown Upcycling project located in Bolzano (Italy), this table was the result of a research on the local marble industry. Seeing the waste material generated by these companies Paul Heijnen was fascinated by the immense boulders cut clean like a loaf of bread. Inspired by the high voltage electrical posts bolted into the rock faces of the dolomites the table legs were attached onto the natural age old, rockface of the table, revealing the clean cut scurface and inside of the stone on top.

Design: Paul Heijnen, 2012
Material: Blue Granite & Steel or Marble & Steel
Dimensions: H78 x L140 x W140 cm
Weight: approx 500 kg

Each tabletop is a solid slab of natural-edged stone and as such no two are the same. This table is constructed with either blue Dolomite granite or the exclusive Noir de Mazy marble with the top finished to a fine polish. It is also possible to set up local based production coming to a specific area and using a stone that will have to be found, excavated etc. to be mounted on a set of construction legs, which are bolted into the rock, color coated to client specifications.
