Cameron Mathieson

Cameron Mathieson's light fixtures are stunning works and an art installation in themselves. They have gone through a long metamorphosis. He studied photography at the Banff Centre in Canada where a climbing accident influenced his life and artistic path. Cameron Mathieson works in wilderness and solitude in Nelson and from the shores of remote Duncan Lake in the Kootenays . The artist transforms weathered driftwood branches and roots into new life. His works have been presented in numerous exhibitions internationally and are part of permanent collections in the National Gallery, Ottawa, the Edmonton Art Gallery, the Canada Council Art Bank and others.
