Product description Specification

The Mutation console table by Apiwat Chitapanya for Masaya highlights the artistic beauty through its intricate details. The console was hand carved from wax before it was casted with solid bronze from a specialized bronze foundry in Thailand. The design like it’s name was inspired by the converging of living organisms using organic shapes and forms as it’s foundation. The console was also inspired by the delicate and beautiful lines of nature, leaves, and veins similar to the arts of the upper class of the 17th century. With the various inspirations combining with shapes and forms constitute in a special and unique piece of furniture that is able to bring life to an otherwise lifeless object.

Apiwat Chitapanya

Apiwat Chitapanya studied Printing at Fine Art Academy and Applied Art at Silpakorn University, Thailand. Back then he got interested in design for the first time. He visited BIG+BIH, design event in Thailand, It made him interested in art object and opened his mind to design works. He made his accessory objects such as ceramics vase, wood lamp and small decorating objects. Afterwards, he took a chance to design for other companies that allowed him to try more materials such stainless welding, metal and brass casting.
